@MantyMusic He doesn't. That was just some idiotic thing Jared Dines started to spread around out of ignorance, and likely jealous/envy of his skill. There's no speeding up, and most pro guitarists/professional music videos/etc often "mime" to the playback rather than having it recorded live while recording the video. There's a difference between a music video and a live playthrough video. This one seems like a live playback, given there's a small mistake at where one of the notes is flubbed, which likely would have been fixed if it was just miming to a pre-recorded perfect studio recording.
