I just realized that part of the charm in tapping is how a note that was once ringing in a chord is now substituted with a higher one, only it doesn't feel like it being substituted more like the note is passing its spotlight to the next highest note in the chord while a melody is playing in the tap. I hope I'm explaining myself here but you can really listen to it in the mark.
